After elementary school and middle school and training as a carpenter, Mr. Gruber Emil joined the company in 1988, which his father had founded in 1980. GETRA chemical and technical products was involved in the production of cleaning agents, dosing and rinsing technology. Mr. Gruber was responsible for customer service, technical installations and maintenance of the dosing stations, especially in the area of ​​flushing technology. Over the years, his scope of work expanded, not least thanks to the many training courses he completed, such as commercial field service training, a hygiene diploma and further training in chemistry. He carried out work in various departments and knew GETRA inside and out. As a result, Mr. Gruber took over the company as owner in 2000. The daily work

“My daily work is very diverse. I advise and support customers, give hygiene training and deal with administrative tasks such as creating safety data sheets (SDS) and product formulations. I also control production and monitor the installation of flushing technology and dosing. Above all, personal customer contact inspires me a lot and allows me to understand what our customers need in order to be able to offer them targeted solutions.” This variety of tasks particularly appeals to me in my work.

Safety data sheet software

An important part of my work is the creation of safety data sheets, which I carry out myself using software available online. I used to create these sheets using another tool, but I needed a more professional solution. After an internet search I came into contact with Siam. This application promised not only to be user-friendly but also to generate legally compliant and verified data sheets. This really excited me, especially because I was looking for a way to make my work more efficient. After speaking to Mr. Paul Robben, who walked me through the process, I decided to implement Siam’s software.”

 

A big difference

“The installation went surprisingly smoothly and thanks to Mr. Robben’s professional and patient support, I quickly learned to use the software. Faster than expected, I was able to create SDSs on my own. Something that was always a tedious and time-consuming task before. I also noticed that the documentation is now much more precise. In particular, the uncomplicated execution of PCN reports represents a big difference compared to the old software. The database, which is required to create legally correct data sheets, is also characterized by its extraordinary quality. The new safety data sheets were checked several times by company doctors and safety experts and were always found to be correct.”
