ECHA removes the list of substances

ECHA removes the list of substances for which the reduced information requirements do not apply – The list of substances expected to meet the criteria of Annex III of REACH has been removed from ECHA’s website.

The list was created in 2016 to help registrants interpret the REACH Annex III criteria when preparing their registrations for the 2018 registration deadline. Since the deadline has passed and new information or predictive methods may have emerged since then, ECHA has decided to remove this list from its website.

Substances that do not meet the criteria

If substances do not meet the Annex III criteria, companies can continue to register them in small quantities and with limited information. This information relates only to physicochemical properties. As before, the considerations must be indicated in the IUCLID registration dossier. If the substance meets any of the Annex III criteria, it must be registered with all physicochemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological information.
